So now it is time to reveal the tournament structure. To reiterate previous comments, the only criteria for being eligible for the tournament was that a band must have released a cd in the year 2006. With the unfilled grinder positions fixed, the rest of the tournament was randomly filled in; no rankings were used this year. We hope that this modification of the tournament will results in a more spontaneous and unpredictable experience for our readers.

Of co ruse, no battle of the bands would be complete without some prizes to be handed away, and for that to happen, brackets must be filled out. Here's what you need to do: Download a bracket here (.xls) or here (.ods).Fill out the bracket. Email the completed bracket to The Silent Ballet. You can also view a pdf file here.

Note: The grand prize winner will receive tickets to the Rhâââ Lovely Festival. On your bracket you must indicate whether or not you are able to attend this concert, which takes place in BELGIUM on April 7th. Bands playing at this year's concert include: A Whisper In The Noise (US), Audrey (SW), K-Branding (B), The Matt Elliott Foundation (UK), Milena Song (D), Part Chimp (UK), and Pelican (US), among others. Other prizes will be available as well, a full announcement will be made at the beginning of the first round.

Brackets must be submitted by 12 PM EST Sunday, January 20th, 2007. Any bracket that is submitted after this date will not be included. The first round of voting will begin on Monday, January 21st, 2007. Voting will be limited to registered users of our forums, so be sure to sign up if you are already not a member.
